The annual Grandfather Mountain Highland Games will be held in Western North Carolina. It is a 4 day event and this year will run from July 8 through July 11. The games are near Lenoir, North Carolina. It is one of the largest Scottish events in the USA. Albannach is one of the Scottish groups to perform there. Unfortunately David Ross will no longer be with them and his death is a great loss. I'll be camping there...since I can't go to Scotland every year. You can find the games on the internet if you're interested in further information. Look me up...I'll either be at the Clan Lindsay booth or at least checking in with them from time to time.

Janice, attending the Grandfather Games is on my bucket list and I hope to finally make it down there one year. I hope the weather behaves for you.

I must say not having David Ross in attendance would not be what I would consider a loss, although I was sorry to hear of his death. I respect there were those who looked up to him, I was just not one of them. Having spent several occasions with him, I found him more than a little rude and arrogant.

If you get a chance between Albannach sets, please give Jamesie my best and remind him of my invitation. I would ask you to give Jacquie a hug for me, but it just wouldn't be the same.
