Sorry for the extended absence, but that little thing called Life has done its best to derail me at nearly every turn.

I'm still hanging in with my job, but by the skin of my teeth. I've been hunting alternative employment in case this position goes away on me, but this area has been really hit hard by the economic conditions of late. I had been doing some forum work for others, but those jobs have all dried up and blown away as well.

And then adding to all that, it seems as if the aging process has decided to punch me right in the nose. I've a couple of ongoing issues that are slowing me down a bit and just managed to get over a really nasty kidney infection.

The way things have been going, I'm in a 'what next' mode.

We have been doing some work in the background here, however. The site is now running the latest version of the Invision Power Board software, which required a new forum skin to take advantage of all the new forum features and functions. There were no skins available we much cared for, so I decided it was time to learn how to design a skin and created the AztechBlue skin we are now using as a default. I am working on other versions I hope to offer as commercial options to other forum admins. And we may just end up with a custom skin, designed specifically for this site. Time will tell.

I am finished with sending resumes and job-hunting, so if I can keep myself from falling apart physically, I hope to be around much more often! <fingers crossed>

Much the same Mike, and to add to the troubles we now have a Tory in charge at Westminster, Arrrgh.
At least the weather is pretty good at present, I've had a few health problems and have resigned as secretary of NFD Alba, but not from NFD of course.
