We had a brilliant month of June over here, but since July came in it has been all wind and heavy rain. The garden which was shaping up quite nicely now has all the flowers battered and drowned.

Mairead, I would be happy to trade some rain for some heat, if you like. It's 'only' meant to be 32° C here again today. I have to admit, whilst is has been smoking hot here, it sure beats the bitter cold and snow we see in the winter. So I'm not griping too much. We had some mean weather 3-4 weeks back, with a couple of tornadoes touched down within about 5 miles of here. A couple of barns blown down and some crop damage, but it wasn't too terribly severe.

Thankfully Mike, we don't get many real extremes of weather here, and I guess when looking at the terrible forest fires in some places and dreadful flooding in others, we should be kinda grateful here, but nae doubt, I'll still moam. LoL
